SAINT HELENA BOARDING SCHOOL FOR ORPHANS BROCHURE
* * *
In the middle of nowhere, led by a long winding road, you'll find a small community which is your regular small country community. You've got your cows in the fenced fields, tall grass scratching at your legs, the deers wondering around at night and the occasional cat showing off it's latest kill. The land is flat, and the number of trees are nearly countless. The population is mostly consumed by elder civilians who are retired and enjoying the wonderful country lifestyle of peace and quiet. That is unless they happen to live close by the Saint Helena's Boarding School for Orphans. It is like a college building, old dorms at that side of the building, a cafeteria, a driveway, then the classrooms with the lockers all filed out in the hallways. Not to mention the smelly gymnasium and bathrooms. But if you can get over the smell and the 'rustic' appearance of the school, you'll find it is quite spacious and majestic. There's even a lake nearby, which is crowded by hyperactive teenagers swimming, boating, and skipping stones. It looks like paradise.

The Town; is affectionately and simply called 'The Town'. In fact, it seems no one really knows what the Town's real name is. Nevertheless, it is where all the teenagers go on the weekends. It's basically rows of stores on a small road, walk far enough you'll find the path to the river. Take the other route, you're at the questionable hang out at the abandoned train station a little farther off the tiny mall with your more mainstream stores. Take another way and you're back at school. There's a small diner, a movie theaters, and take a cab or bus, you could take a secret [and forbidden] trip into Club Muse, just remember your fake ID. Or you could play it safe and go to House of Blues or the lamely named Club Loco, for teen friendly. But remember, no matter how much you party or shop at Hottopic- you're still in the middle of nowhere babe. The small country town element in the area never fades away. It smells like cow dung...
The school is a proud one, widely popular by the general public but rarely ever thought of. Many just see it as a way for celebrities to make themselves look good by sponsering orphans to be able to come here and donating the necessary money for the school. The teachers are loving, strict, and aim to prepare the unfortunate orphans for a bright future. Not to mention the many extra curricular activities for the students with special interests such as art, music, and theater. Nurses and a doctor are at the hospital wing, ready to spring to action whenever anyone's hurt. There's even therapists to help those with deeper emotional issues with their wise guidance and optimisism. Have a talk with them and you could have small loans from your sponsers and inheritence to buy cell phones and laptops when your weekly allowence isn't enough. Once at eighteen you finally recieve inheritence to do whatever you want, even buy a car. The cafeteria has wonderful food, and aims to feed the students healthy food. Yes, anyone outside the walls must look at it with much praise and smiles for the good fortune the students inside have been struck with. It almosts runs like a home.
So, what's REALLY behind the muchly publicized and praised school? It's nothing like the brochure. The school can feel like a cage, suffocated and crowded. Whatever they serve at the cafeteria can not be good for you. Most of the teachers couldn't give a shit about their students. The students in the extra curricular activites are super competitive, so it's always a contest at who's better. The therapists, try. But some of the students are feared to be gone and beyond help. The cliques are all facades, the top elites rule the school while their enemies; rebels are constantly butting heads. Then in-between are usually the ones trying to get by, whether it be through their art, drugs, or music, or by watching on the sidelines like a wallflower. There's usually always drama, conflict, and lies in the air. Everyone is stressed and everyone is afraid of being vunerable when they have already been hurt from the loss of their family. It smells like teen spirit.
