Perfection Is Perception;;In the small, little known, town of Riverland, California, people strive for perfection. And when they don’t get it, let’s just say it isn’t very pretty. When everyone strives to be perfect, no one is. In Riverland, there is more plastic perfection than any other part of the planet, probably even the universe. It has the top plastic surgeons, numerous cosmetic shops, more clothing shops than you could count, and of course, everyone there is naturally beautiful. And, being around all the other beautiful people, they just want to be more and more beautiful.
Of course, like everything in life, there are rebels. The people who are already beautiful, but strive NOT to be. The people who wear ragged clothing, no make up, hardly touch their hair…and yet, the most beautiful people of all. Of course, no one sees it. All they see is the clothing, the lack of make up, the pimple or two, the slightly over large nose.
The plastics and the rebels hardly even converse anymore. Over the years, they’ve grown further and further apart, until finally they are natural enemies. Not the kind that do nothing but fight, though. The kind that blandly ignores each other, even if they just meet accidentally in the grocery store.
